Certificate of Higher Education in Optical Coherence Tomography Capture
Gloucestershire Research & Education Group in Partnership with the University of Gloucestershire
This qualification has been designed to meet the needs of operators of Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) equipment who routinely capture OCT scans, with an emphasis on how to prepare and acquire different types of OCT scans. It aims, through directed learning and structured assessments to:
- Help students develop and gain recognition for their knowledge and skills in OCT Capture
- Enable students to understand the processes and equipment commonly used in OCT scanning
- Provide training in the capture of relevant, appropriate and good quality OCT scans to provide clinical information in the management of patients with anterior and/or posterior segment disease of the eye
- Ensure that students safely and competently undertake OCT scanning
It is provided by Gloucestershire Research & Education Group in partnership with the University of Gloucestershire as the awarding body, and is suitable for individuals who are employed in health institutions within the UK who routinely capture Optical Coherence Tomography scans.
This course can be studied individually, or can be combined with our University Diploma in OCT Interpretation to form a Foundation Degree in OCT.
The OCT Capture Course has been the perfect qualification to help consolidate my knowledge of OCT capture as well as providing the perfect foundation to build my knowledge of image interpretation... this is the perfect short course to help provide a good introduction.
